What a good day we've had!
Fur:
Ellie and Isla had a big adventure today as they heading up into the garden. Ellie was definately the adventurer with timid Isla trailing behind.
Feathers:
We let Lucky and the girls out of their pen for a good dig and scratch around in the garden. All three of them really enjoyed it so much we had trouble getting them back in! They also enjoyed some corn for their afternoon snack apparently it is the best thing for them to eat in the afternoon as it sustains their appetite throughout the night. Even after having them for two years I am still learning. They also enjoyed a strawberry split into three this morning. Who would have thought chickens liked strawberries but they do. No eggs today thought i'm afraid. Think they might have been a little pre-occupied.
Foliage:
Well after an initial trip to the garden centre we managed to rake over the land and get it as flat as we could. Put down all the weed liner and place the railway sleepers where we want them. One bed has been screwed together the other one hopefully will be done in the next couple of days. The next step is research and cost up top soil for the beds and slate for the pathways. Next job after i've writing this post. This is how it looks at the moment. Unfortunately Mike is back at work tomorrow and I thought I might have a wander around the shops so doubt there will be much to report tomorrow night but you never know.
Looks very good. David.
