Got home from work yesterday to discover that Jemima had been very busy and built a rather large nest in the duck house and not only that she had laid two eggs which were in the centre and she was sat on top. Puddles was pacing up and down guarding his beloved and the nest. Unfortunately we haven't got the space to let her rear some ducklings at the minute so this morning I braved it into the pen to remove the eggs and was faced with a rather cross Jemima who actually flew at me and certainly made it obvious I wasn't welcome. Eventually armed with a watering can and bucket I managed to get her off the nest and collect the eggs without receiving any injuries but it was a close shave...
